We are not always comfortable when we see these ants around our living spaces, even if they can be generally harmless. One ant can seem to be harmless but when they are in their numbers they trespass into substances that we don't want them to.
Ants love anything sugary, they can sense them from distance and before you know, they are all over the place. In our food substances and leftover food if not kept properly they might find their way to the food substance. The Use of Peppermint:



Peppermint obstructs the smelling senses of ants, so they avoid places with peppermint smell. A mixture of 10 peppermint oil drops with a full cup of water, you can then sprinkle it all over your living environments. Dried peppermint can also be used for the same purpose, sprinkle it  around your living space to prevent ants.
The use of Distilled Vinegar:



Vinegar smell keep ants away, they can’t stand the smell. With the use of water, distilled vinegar and a few drops of Lemon essential oil mixed in a spray bottle. Let the water and distilled vinegar be of the same proportion and spray around your living environment to prevent ants.

The Use of Borax:



With this approach use can destroy the ants yourself by attracting them to the borax. With the use of 1 teaspoon of borax; 2 tablespoons sugar; 1 teaspoon water and 2 teaspoons peanut butter. Make a mixture of borax, peanut butter, sugar, and water in a container; poke the container at the side for ants to have easy access. They will come over to the mixture to take some of the mixture back to their home. Trace where they take the mixture and destroy them.

The Use of Cinnamon:



Ants try to avoid cinnamon’s smell, so you can use it to keep them away. With some drops of cinnamon essential oil and a water and probably cinnamon cloves. Soak a cotton wool ball in a  mixture of cinnamon essential oil and water. Use this soacked cotton wool to wipe areas of your house were ants are rampant. You can also drop the cinnamon cloves in specific areas of your living environment to keep the ants out.
