The Most Cool DIY Project You Need To Try This Spring

Spring will be here before you know it! With it, awesome green foliage and the warm weather we’ve all been dreaming about will soon be a reality. If you have an eye for art and a green thumb, this “Moss Graffiti” project might just be the perfect one for you this spring. Learn everything you need to know with these simple wikiHow instructions.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. A handful of moss
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 2 cups buttermilk or plain yogurt
  4. ½ teaspoon of sugar
  5. Blender
  6. Corn syrup (optional)
First, you’ll need to find the moss outside or on damp surfaces. If you don’t want to go searching, you can always buy it at any garden center.

Get the moss ready by washing as much soil out of the roots as possible.

Split the moss up and put it in a blender.

After the moss is placed in the blender, add the buttermilk/yogurt, water, and sugar. If you want, you can add corn syrup to thicken the paste.

Blend the mixture together and pour it into a bucket. Try not to over blend; you want the moss to stay mostly intact.

Grab a paintbrush, and paint (using the mixture) whatever your heart desires.

Then, all you have to do is check on it weekly to see the progress and spray your design with water to encourage the moss to grow.

Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to create masterpieces like these:
