Overnight Beauty Mask To Wake Up Pretty As A Princess: Hand And Feet Brightening Gel

Dim pigmentation of skin can be caused by contamination, overexposure to the sun, a medical condition, environmental pollution, dry skin, poor lifestyle choices, and prolonged use of conventional chemical-based beauty products.

Many people struggle to achieve a flawless and fair skin. For this reason, cosmetic companies have flooded the market with a wide range skin-lightening lotions and creams. Unfortunately, such products contain harmful chemical active ingredients that can damage your skin in the long run. Additionally, they are expensive and their long term use is not sustainable.

We have all heard stories, and in fact seen a few cases where an attempt to use chemical agents to lighten the skin has turned out nasty to some people. Oftentimes these skin bleaching chemicals mess up with your skin chemical and physiological balance leading to destruction of skin melamine. This exposes your underlying epidermal skin layer, making it vulnerable to sunburn, UV damage and contamination.

To avoid damaging your skin further and prevent possible disease infections, dermatologists recommend use of natural skin brightening masks. These are safe, more effective, and will save you lots of time and money in the long run.

Today we will learn how to make a simple but very effective skin brightening mask composed of three products you probably already have in your home i.e. Honey, yoghurt and lemon juice.

Lemon juice is a rich source of Vitamin C that naturally bleaches your skin and removes dead skin on the surface to give it a fair tone. Yoghurt has plenty of nutrients beneficial for your skin including lactic acid that has gentle bleaching properties. On the other hand, in addition acting as a natural bleaching agent, honey comes with moisturizing and antibacterial properties whose benefits on your skin can not be contested.

The video below/above explains how you can formulate and use this mixture, but here is a simple breakdown of the steps involved;

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon raw honey

• 1 tablespoon plain yogurt

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation

Pour the three ingredients in a small bowl and stir until the mixture is homogeneous. Apply this mixture on your hands and feet and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse it. Apply a moisturizer after rinsing. Repeat this 2 to 4 times a week until you see improvement.
